FAQ

What is Studylance?

Studylance is a service that lets students ask questions to tutors.

How does it work?

A student will ask a question, which is then made available to tutors. Tutors can submit answers, the student will see a preview of the answer and may pay to see the full answer. The tutor will receive their payment and the student will then see the full answer.

Is it free?

Students and tutors can register for free. To view a tutor's answer, students need to pay the tutor.

How does the rating system work?

Once a student pays a tutor for help, they may rate the tutor. Tutor's with high ratings are more likely to have their answers accepted and earn more money.

Can I earn money?

Yes, tutors can earn money by using their expertise to provide answers to students who need help.

How much of the answer will students see before they pay?

The student will see a randomly generated 10% of the answer. The student will be able to see how many words the answer is as well.

Can tutors ask for more or less than the student is offering?

Yes, by choosing "Answer and Bid" when submitting an answer.

Can I use Studylance to find people to write essays for me?

No. Any student that asks for full essays will have the question deleted. If you see a question asking for a full essay, please use the "Report Student" button. Studylance is about finding tutors to help you understand your coursework, not for cheating.
